News Details : United States: SCDOT Asks for High Speed Rail Grant
Description The South Carolina Department of Transportation has applied for a federal grant to study the feasibility of a High Speed Rail System in the states eastern corridor. It would tie into the existing federally-designated Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor. The way its proposed, it would connect Savannah, Charleston, Florence, and a location near Cheraw at the North Carolina state line. The grant is for $500,000 with a local match of $125,000, which the City of Charleston has agreed to coordinate. DOT has also applied for a similar grant for a statewide rail plan. Each study will take about a year and a half to complete.

We are pursuing these funds to study our rail possibilities in South Carolina. The revenues from state fuel taxes have proven to be insufficient to maintain our existing highway system. We need to look into rail as a way to take the pressure off our highways and reduce traffic congestion. Id also like to thank Mayor Joe Riley and the City of Charleston for its help in seeking funds for the study, SC Transportation Secretary said.

The document was signed by Iranian Foreign Minister and his Tajik counterpart on the sidelines of the 37th meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) foreign ministers in Dushanbe. Iranian Foreign Minister pointed out that the project will pave the way for linking China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Irans railways. The cooperation between the two countries, specially in energy and industrial fields, has yielded good achievements which should, of course, be considered a result of the efforts made by the two countries officials.

Iranian President heading a high-ranking politico-economic delegation, visited Dushanbe on January 4 on the first leg of his bi-nation tour of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan to confer on the further bolstering of bilateral ties and cooperation in meetings with senior officials of the two Central Asian states. The two countries inked three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and two documents on mutual cooperation as well as a joint statement during Ahmadinejads trip to Dushanbe.

Also earlier this month, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi and his Tajik counterpart Sherali Khayrulloyev signed an agreement to broaden defense cooperation between the two countries. Under the agreement the two sides will widen the scope of mutual defense, educational and technical cooperation. Government Business

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for your time towards reading this post.

As the subject line suggests, this is all about Government Business Opportunities in the form of tenders.

Tendering is an aggressive business approach and a company into tendering has to ensure they have sufficient sources to get these tender alerts.

Through two of our Unique services we, Euclid Infotech Pvt. Ltd., have reached the benchmark of creating the largest and most accurate database of Government Tenders World-Wide. Below are our 2 unique services that I believe every company in this business would want to be a part of it:

1. TendersInfo (www.tendersinfo.com) - World-Wide
2. EU TendersInfo (www.eutendersinfo.com) - European Market

You can choose from the above 2 services as per your preference. Both the services are priced moderately.

What makes us stand out of other providers is the diversity of information. Apart from Government tenders we also provide upcoming project information, Business News & Contract Awards information.

Our key U.S.P. is the Bid Consultancy services wherein we help companies in the entire bidding procedure, without their physical presence in that country, through our associates spread across 40+ countries. We have won several tenders for these companies on commission basis. At the end of the day the company saves a lot on their expenditures through these associates. Since they are local they are well aware of the local business attitude and the expectations of that Government Body before awarding the contract. The companies are in constant touch with these associates planning out their approach for that tender.

Lastly our Customer Care team helps you to find additional information of tenders and will help in every way possible.

We cover every sector of business and from every part of the world. This gives you an idea of how much we invest to get through the sources and deliver you timely tender alerts ensuring no business opportunities are missed.
